Movie vs. Book

well, i haven't ever read an entire book and then seen the film. But my guess would be that it may be possible for a director to outshine an author, It it wouldn't come easy. I think that it is so hard because in a book you can be very descriptive and draw attention to detail, and little things, but at the same time, everyone has their own imagination. I do think that a director can outshine an author, but like I said, it wouldn't come without some work.
